Sandy Gem

There is something that draws me to this southeast corner of Oahu. There is something magnetic about this place. They call it Sandys. Normal people can't understand the chronic bodysurfers who religiously flock to the shore break at Sandys. The waves from the beach are hard to understand as they quickly double and fold over themselves in no consistent pattern. They do not look as if you can ride them. It's hard to comprehend their beauty from the beach. The waves are as thick as they are tall, and the punch is felt as it breaks in water sometimes only 12 inches deep. However when the sand and whitewater settles, your patience will have paid off . You might just get a pleasant surprise as a Gem like this will roll through and just for a moment you believe you are in Heaven. A reward for your exodus!
